INTERNET: LAS ACEPTACIONES QUE NADIE LEE

"He leído y acepto las condiciones de uso es la mayor mentira de la web" de nuestra época, advierten publicaciones especializadas, por lo que instan a poner más atención a los términos que presentan los servicios de Internet. La mayoría de las personas navegan por la Red aceptando unas condiciones, que en muchos casos no han leído en detalle debido a su complejidad, por lo que rápidamente bajan al final del texto en busca de la opción 'Acepto' sin darle mayor importancia, señala el portal 'Terms of Service; Didn’t Read' (Tosdr). http://tosdr.org/


No existen normas que obliguen a las empresas de Internet a proporcionar sus servicios de forma clara y comprensible a los usuarios, y para contrarrestar ese vacío Tosdr ha empezado a analizar y evaluar las condiciones de uso de los servicios de las webs más utilizadas, agrega.

La iniciativa de Tosdr consiste en leer en detalle esos términos de uso que muchos consideran demasiado largos y engorrosos, clasificar sus puntos más importantes en buenos, neutros, malos o muy malos y utilizar esa clasificación para otorgar una puntuación, que va desde la 'A' (muy buena) a la 'E' (muy mala), informa por su parte el diario 'online' español 'El Confidencial'.

Algunas de las páginas web más utilizadas ya han pasado por el escrutinio de ese portal, por ejemplo, Google, obtiene una 'C', ya que "en general sus términos de uso son aceptables, pero hay algunos aspectos que deben ser tenidos en cuenta".

YouTube sale peor parado, calificado con una 'D', ya que "sus condiciones están muy desequilibradas en perjuicio del usuario".

Otras páginas aún no han recibido su calificación definitiva, pero sí han sido analizadas. Es el caso de Facebook, cuyo análisis hasta ahora es bastante negativo.

Tampoco Amazon ni Apple han sido calificadas todavía, aunque si han sido analizadas e igual que Facebook, sus condiciones no gustan demasiado.
